Description of the Issue
Beginning in late May 2016, text-to-speech functionality stopped working in many different smartapps, including officially-published ones.
Regions affected:
Phone OS affected: All
UsersAffected: All
Variable or Always Occurs: Always
Prior/Intended Function
Devices could play verbal notifications such as "The back door is open."
SmartThings official response
They are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.
